Our Services

We use a collaborative model of care that recognizes that no single professional discipline is able to meet all the health-related needs of individuals and communities. Although nurse practitioners are our primary providers, they work with a team of physician collaborators, health educators, community outreach programs, nutritionists, counselors, and students/interns to help clients achieve optimum health and well-being. Faculty and students from the School of Nursing, from the Departments of Public Health Sciences, Languages, English, Business, and other disciplines support and enhance our services. These services include the following:

  • Health Assessments
    • Health risk appraisal
    • Nutrition
    • Physical activity and fitness
    • The Hormone Therapy Program
    • Age appropriate physical exams
  • Health Education and Health Promotion
    • Health risks
    • The Nutrition Education Program
    • Hormone health
    • Physical activity
    • Coping and stress management

  • Medical Surveillance Program
Sue Pedrick, a certified occupational health nurse (COHN) at the Sullivan Center, provides health services to university employees who are/have been exposed to occupational health hazards. Pedrick works collaboratively with the Department of Environmental Health and Safety. Medical surveillance services include but are not limited to the following:
