Garden Facilities
Discovery Center - The Fran Hanson Discovery Center, the former 'Wren House' Southern Living Showcase Home, is the visitor center for the South Carolina Botanical Garden. Visitors may pick up maps of the garden, campus and surrounding Mountain Lakes Region of the Upstate. Our helpful staff will assist you in planning your next stop to enhance your visit to the garden and the region. Hours: Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm. Geology Museum - The Bob Campbell Geology Museum has an extensive collection of gems, minerals and fossils, a life-size Saber Tooth Tiger, a flourscent mineral room and a wonderful gift shop. Hanover House - This 1716 French Huegonot home relocated from Dorchester County is open for touring Saturday, 10am-Noon and 1-4:30pm. Weekday viewing by appointment only and closed University holidays. To be connected to the web page, click here.
Nature Learning Center - The Hanson Nature Learning Center is dedicated to teaching children and adults about nature and gardening through hands-on programs. Hayden Conference Center - The Hayden Conference Center hosts garden club meetings, business dinners, lectures and more. The facility is located in the heart of the Garden making a walk or tour a natural combination to any program.
