Be a part of what's growing in South Carolina

The South Carolina Botanical Garden was designated the state's botanical garden in 1992. Since then, the garden has grown to a 295-acre sanctuary for visitors to enjoy year round free of charge. The Fran Hanson Discovery Center, a former Southern Living Showcase Home, welcomes visitors from all over the world. The Bob Campbell Geology Museum is the 'gem' of the garden with its extensive collection of gems, minerals and fossils of the southeast. Residents of SC and the Upstate enjoy having this beautiful treasure in their own back yard.

Supporting this natural resource improves the quality of life for the community by providing a natural space to exercise, relax and learn about nature through our many education programs.
