1. reducing pollutants in runoff. Pollutants can include pesticides and chemicals, automotive wastes, grass clippings and yard waste, pet and animal wastes, and winter salt and de-icers.
2. controlling runoff through landscaping and site management. Some ways to help control runoff red preventing soil erosion, providing proper roof drainage, and minimizing paved surfaces.
