Your Day schedule for week of April 9

     CLEMSON -- The following "Your Day" radio programs from 
Clemson University Radio Productions are scheduled to air on 
the South Carolina Educational Radio Network for the week of 
April 9. The program airs from Noon to 1 p.m., Monday through 
Thursday. Listeners can call in questions during a "live" show

     Monday, April 9 -- S.C. Focus -- Director of the Strom Thurmond
Institute, Bob Becker, will travel to Greenwood, to visit the 
Greenwood Genetics Center and the J.C. Self Research Institute.
     Out and About -- A second feature for National Child Abuse
Prevention Month: Gary Melton, director of the Institute on Family 
and Neighborhood Life, will talk with Marty Banks, executive 
director of Parents Anonymous of South Carolina, and Dr. David 
Wolfe from the University of West Ontario.
     The Arts -- The second in a series on National Poetry Month 
from the S.C. Arts Commission Literary Arts Program, this segment
features poetry winners of the Sumter County Cultural Commission
Literary Competition.
     Tuesday, April 10 -- Palmetto Gardening -- A live call-in program,
hosted by naturalist and Clemson University Professor of Horticulture,
David Bradshaw.
     Got Bugs? -- A live call-in program, with host Charlotte Holt 
and insect experts Cam Lay, assistant department head of Pesticide
Regulation and Eric Benson, Clemson Extension Entomologist.
     Wednesday, April 11 -- Pet Talk -- Live call-in program, with 
host Ann Lee McPhail and Dr. Glenn Birrenkott, chair of the Clemson
University Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences and guests 
from the Greenville Animal Emergency Clinic.
     Food for Thought -- Extension Food and Nutrition Specialist 
Libby Hoyle will visit a Pickens County strawberry farm and take 
us around the state for an update on where to find this season's
strawberries. 
     Thursday, April 12 -- Focus on the Future -- Donna London of 
the Jim Self Center on the Future with guest John Knott, CEO of 
the sustainable community of Dewees Island.
     Causerie -- Sara Diaz chats with Dr. Bob Testin, professor
emeritus of the Clemson University Departments of Packaging Science 
and Biosystems Engineering.
     Out and About -- Another in a series on National Poetry Month 
from the S.C. Arts Commission Literary Arts Program, featuring 
poets who read at a monthly coffeehouse evening, sponsored by the
Sumter County Cultural Commission.
     The Chef's Table -- A recipe for veal, with Chef Tom Brocaglia 
and Libby Hoyle.
