The one-hour show is a perspective on environmental conservation in South Carolina and is a collaborative effort of: S.C. Department of Agriculture, S.C. Department of Natural Resources, S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control, S.C. Forestry Commission, South Carolina Farm Bureau, Clemson University's Public Service Activities, Clemson University's Regulatory Services and the Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Rural Development, and National Agricultural Statistics Service. The special will explore the environmental challenges facing South Carolina in the 21st century. Topics to be covered include increasing urbanization, the importance of a healthy environment to maintain a strong economy, and the role of agriculture, forestry and the family farmer in environmental conservation. Each year millions of people enjoy South Carolina's abundant natural resources that enhance the quality of life from the mountains to the sea. As the state's population grows, more and more human interests will vie for the use of our natural resources. END
