Get new Clemson publication CLEMSON - If you're interested in the beetles of South Carolina, especially ground beetles, then Clemson University's Agriculture and Forestry Research System has a new publication with you in mind. It is TB 1101, "Ground Beetles and Wrinkled Bark Beetles of South Carolina." The cost is $20. It has drawings to aid in identifying 479 species that have been found in or are likely to occur in South Carolina. "It was written because, until now, there was no single book that would permit identification of ground beetles from the Southeast" said Janet Ciegler, the book's author. The first in a new "Biota of South Carolina" series, this book should make it possible for any serious collector, amateur or professional, to identify any ground beetles found in this state. This publication may be obtained through local Clemson Extension offices or by ordering on the Internet at: http://cufan.clemson.edu/olos/, with a Visa or MasterCard. You may also order through U.S. mail by sending a check or money order, payable to Clemson University, to The Bulletin Room, Room 96, Poole Agricultural Center, Clemson University, Clemson, SC 29634-0129. There are no taxes, shipping or handling charges for this publication. END
