Flexographic Type Printability Target (Corrugated, Wide Web, Narrow Web)

Positive and Reverse Type

The target is used to define the minimum positive and reverse type sizes which can be satisfactorily printed on the press. They also allow the designer to visualize the effect of size and weight on appearance and legibility.

The file contains positive and reverse type in both serif and sans serif styles in: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18 point sizes.

The file is in EPS format, suitable to place in popular desktop layout programs.

GENERAL HINTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Do not download the sample target(s) above. They are .jpg/.gif images; the .eps file that you will use are located below in the download section.
  • These targets work as a set as illustrated above; one "block" for each color.
  • Place 1 set of targets in the layout file.
