Flexographic Trapping Target (Corrugated, Wide Web, Narrow Web)

Trapping
"Wet Ink" trapping targets as shown provide information on how each color traps or sticks to the other when printed. Such information is useful when learning about the characteristics of the ink being used. They are also used to set impression of each color of ink. The prepress depatment can also read the color patches with a spectro-photometer to plot spectral curves for each of the colors; cyan, magenta,yellow and red, green, blue.

The file is in EPS format, suitable to place in popular desktop layout programs.

GENERAL HINTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Do not download the sample target(s) above. They are .jpg/.gif images; the .eps file that you will use are located below in the download section.
  • Place 1 target in each corner rotating 90 degrees between corners. The registration black blocks should face the edge of the sheet.
