| 1. Hands-on Methods
- Attendees will learn a systematic method
to set up a flexo RDC by the numbers…NOT by “feel.”
Each attendee will do numerous set ups and adjust settings
for top quality printing and diecutting
- Color to color registration, Print to
Die cut registration, proper impression settings
- Attendees will learn fastest approach to
quick changeovers and still achieve swift customer approval
of product.
- Attendees will learn how to properly maintain
printing plates, anilox rolls and cutting dies
- Cleaning of anilox rolls, plate handling,
basic cutting die inspections and repairs
- Attendees will learn how to maintain rotary
diecutting accuracy on single outs and multi-out jobs on various
substrates.
2. Theory behind the practice
- Line screen and multicolor work with rotary
diecut finishing
- Print clean screens and flaw free solids
and line work with accurate diecutting
- Working knowledge of knives, nicks, creases,
perf, rubber, and die mounting
- Color matching on spectrum of commonly used
substrates from kraft to white.
- Diecutting on various fluted board
3. Troubleshooting Techniques
- Operators will be able to immediately identify
when there is a print problem outside their control and problems
they can identify and fix on press.
- Operators will learn to quickly identify
common diecutting problems and best practices for solving
these problems.
- Cracked scores, poor stripping, loose
kerfs, stacking/shingling,
This course is also of tremendous of value
to supervisors and managers who have not been experienced in
the hands-on printing environment (those new to the industry
or those coming from a different printing background). Also,
those who have not been on press for several years and want
a refresher course will find this class to be a great opportunity
to relearn what has been forgotten over time.
