  • September 20, 2007: Mathematical Sciences Departmental Fall Picnic

    5:00 pm, Clemson outdoor lab. Please look out for the registration form in your mailbox or download it here!

    To kick off the semester, the SIAM Student Chapter will be sponsoring our annual fall picnic. This event is open to all faculty, staff, and graduate students as well as their families. We especially encourage all the new students and faculty to come so they may meet returning students, faculty, and staff. This semester the festivities will feature an authentic Brunswick Stew made by Stewmaster Woody and Chief Potato Peeler Fisher, as well as pork and chicken barbeque, side-dishes, pizza, several desserts made by Peter Kiessler and drinks. You are encouraged to bring homemade side dishes and desserts. Hope to see everyone on Thursday the 20th!

  • April 13, 2007: Mathematical Sciences Departmental Spring Picnic

    Spring is here and with that comes the annual spring picnic sponsored by Clemson’s SIAM Chapter. The picnic is open for all faculty, staff, graduate students and their families, so we hope you’ll join us. This semester the festivities will return to the picnic area at the Clemson Outdoor Labs Amphitheater and Picnic Area. Bring your Frisbee, soccer ball, football, volleyball etc. if you would like to take part in some recreational activities. SIAM will provide pizza, fried chicken and barbecue as well as the drinks. Hopefully we will have many people choose to bring other dishes and desserts so that there will be a delicious variety of foods to choose from! So, come on join us for some Friday fun!

  • December 2-3, 2006: First ACES Workshop

    First SIAM Southeast Regional Student Conference, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia (see the ACES announcement and review in SIAM News).

    This workshop is organized by the SIAM student chapter presidents at Emory and Clemson University and will bring together students from the universities at Auburn, Clemson, Emory, and Southcarolina (ACES). If you are interested in attending or giving a presentation, please contact Alexander Engau.

  • September 8, 2006: Math Sciences Department’s Fall Kick Off
