Cooperative learning groups, manipulatives, and concrete models are used to demonstrate logical reasoning, problem-solving strategies, sets and their operations, numeration systems, properties and operations of whole numbers, number theory, prime and composite numbers, divisibility, common factors and multiples. Open to Elementary, Early Childhood, and Special Education majors only.

Prerequisite: MTHSC 104 or satisfactory score on the Clemson Mathematics Placement Test.
