Financial Mathematics at Clemson

The Clemson program offers students a flexible curriculum from three areas:

Mathematical Sciences: Probability, statistics, stochastic calculus, optimization, time series, computation, applied algebra and analysis, neural networks, Monte Carlo simulation and game theory

Finance: Financial engineering, financial management and investment management

Economics: Financial economics, price theory and econometrics

The capstone of the degree program is an in-depth research project in financial mathematics. For example, a student may produce a case study of a real investment or risk management problem encountered by a financial institution.
