2008 AP Teacher Institute in Statistics


The 2008 Advanced Placement Summer Institute in Statistics will meet on the campus of Clemson University at the Mathematical Sciences Department. Instruction is planned for three stages. First, there will be an online instruction from June 11 to June 14 of graphic displays and a review of previous AP Statistics exams, solutions and grading guidelines.  June 15 to June 21 will be an intensive seven day period of formal instruction.  The third stage will be online instruction during June 22 - July 1.  The material scheduled for the final stage is very accessible through online instruction and allow time for completion of the term projects and all remaining assignments.

The Course is designed with the goal of producing excellent well trained teachers, who are well versed in statistics, prepared to instruct the advanced placement course in Statistics and advance the study of mathematics and statistics in the secondary schools. Successful participants receive three semester hours of graduate school credit at Clemson University for AP Statistics for Teachers.
