Joyce A. Ott, Ph.D.
Adjunct Assistant Professor


Joyce A. Ott (BA, MS, Ph.D., Florida State) is an adjunct assistant professor who works to educate the public about bullying prevention.

Prior to joining the Institute faculty, Prof. Ott worked in the Center for Child and Family Studies at the University of South Carolina, where she administered a national demonstration project to design and implement comprehensive family assessments and integrated service plans for low-income families receiving benefits through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program. Prof. Ott moved to South Carolina from Florida, where she had extensive experience in strategic planning, policy research, evaluation, and administration in public and private organizations.

Her interests are policy research and analysis in education and training; program evaluation and qualitative methods in research; international/intercultural development education; and organizational development, management, and human resource development.
