About LINC

Some populations in South Carolina are at high risk for poor nutrition. These include limited resource children, adolescents, adults, and elderly. Adequate nutrition for these populations is an appropriate preventive health care measure.

Lifelong Improvement in Nutrition and Community (LINC) is the South Carolina Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program. LINC provides basic nutrition, food safety, and food resource management education to Food Stamp recipients and Food Stamp eligible populations. Food Stamp eligibility is determined by income. For more information about Food Stamps and eligibility, visit the South Carolina Department of Social Services Family Nutrition Programs website.
