ASSIGNMENT
Each
group must write a narrative script for their
section. Aim at 15
minutes each ---
which means about 1500 words, or six pages.
Each script must include:

You
may want to split up inital responsibilites among group members.
I suggest the following possibile possibitions:
- Bibliographer--
this person works with print sources, finding articles, reading stuff
in encyclopedias, the xerox book etc., and compiling quotations to be
used, events to be listed etc. This should be comeone who
understands how to do searchesin MLA and expnaded Academic.
- Historian -- this
person works with all available sources to establish the historical
background for the project
- Webster
-- this
person searches the web for images, clips, and web sites that are
relevant to the project, storing a list of URLs. This person should be
proficient in web-surfing and should be able to make a simple web page.
Later roles:
- Videographer --
this person works with the movies themselves,
selecting movies to choose as well as clips. This person
should have
both VHA and DVD machines, and it would be great if they
understand
computers well enough to begin to learn Premier or other editing
program.
- Storyboarder -- this
person sketches out the continuity of clips, stills, etc.
- Scriptwriter --
this person puts together all the bits and pieces that others have
written in a coherent script
- Compiler -- this
person actually edits together all the film pieces
