Engl 356: Science Fiction
Course Objectives
This course will be, at one level,
a pretty traditional introduction to the history of science fiction as
a genre. We'll read short stories and novels, moving chronologically through
the various movements and ages.
What will make the course fun and innovative
is the fact that we'll be doing a good bit of research on the web. (Here
are some of the sites we'll explore.) Also, you'll be involved in a
group project building a web site about some aspect of science fiction.
For more detailed information, see Course Activities.
