We already have a basic webpage started.  It can currently be found at people.clemson.edu/stuart/356/nukes  This shows the different links we are planning although stuart hasn't put up the pages for those links just yet.  As it shows we have decided to break down the nuclear topic into three basic ideas.  A history of nuclear in sci fi, nuclear and holocosts, and nuclear power which goes over not only standard nuclear power as we understand it but advanced nuclear ie. engines on the Enterprise.  I believe that Stuart has sent you a list of the web pages and articles we planned on using.  He also sent it to me to resend but it hasn't come through just yet.  The list of works has grown to:
"And there will come soft Rains" -- Ray Bradbury
"Blowups Happen" -- Heinlein
Alas Babylon -- Frank Path
Dark December -- Alfred Coppel
Triumph -- Phillip Wylie
Orion shall Rise -- Poul Anderson
Through Darkest America -- Neal Barret
On the Beach -- Nevil Shute
      Nerves -- Lester Del Rey
The Long Tomorrow -- Leigh Brackett
      The Penultimate Truth -- Dick

Here is the site from which we will be selecting
several articles.. Obviously they have taken the
time to list a large selection of nuclear articles.
Thanks

Dr. Sparks here is Derek's proposal which includes the books we
are splitting.  I will send you the article list in about 5 minutes when
I can login to my campus account.  Right now the plan is as follows
Stuart -- Read Alas, Babylon summarize, and do all of the webpage
Derek -- Read 1 novel and 3 or 4 articles of his choosing and
   write summaries
Anna -- 2 novels with summaries / comparisons

I'm not entirely sure how to quantify what we will be adding to the
web.  Certainly there is no comprehensive site that tackles nuclear
writings (most of which occur during the red scare era.)  Furthermore
time permitting, we are going to attempt two brief essays one discussing
specifically nuclear weapons in sci-fi (probably a very slight overview) and
the other discussing sci-fi nuclear energy.  My guess is that these
two would be group efforts.
Thanks,
Stu
