The 2m repeater controller project is being worked on by Clint Smullen and Justin Ingersoll who have gotten a first step Linux based repeater controller software which repeats with squelch tail and gives out its callsign. Future improvements will include improving the mixing abilities of the controller, adding DTMF programming support, and improving the digital voice capabilities of the controller.
The 2m cavity construction project is presently open to anyone who is interested and is currently undergoing problem analysis and planning.
The network activity project is being headed up by Alex Norwood and Phil Martin and presently consists of using a converted satellite dish to connect with wireless to the rest of campus.
The phone line has been fixed after working with Bellsouth technicians.
The 440 cavities were tuned using the service monitor borrowed from the ECE department. We would like to thank them for allowing us to use their equipment and for their ongoing support of the club.
The 40m beam is presently mounted on the HF tower below the 20/15/10m beam.
