We will be meeting at 5:30 PM in the Second Floor Lounge in the Hendrix Student Center. We will be collecting dues and discussing our activites for the semester.
There are no more meetings until the Fall semester. Justin Ingersoll, Josh Lawrence, and Alex Norwood will maintain the CUARC presence in the area throughout the summer.
The HF Tower was raised with both the 20/15/10m and 40m beam antennas.
The HF Tower was lowered and the 20/15/10m beam antenna was removed for servicing.
Seven club members, Daniel Hoffman, Justin Ingersoll, Steve Knox, John Campbell, Sam Gray, and Clint Smullen went up to Greenville, SC, to take amateur license exams. Justin Ingersoll and John Campbell obtained Technician Class licenses, Steve Knox obtained Technician Class with Morse Privileges, Clint Smullen obtained General Class, Sam Gray completed his General License Exam and has only the Morse Code exam left to obtain his General Class license, and Daniel Hoffman upgraded to the Amateur Extra Class license. All passed their exams with flying colors. CUARC hopes to soon be able to offer exams itself. If you are interested in learning about licensing, please contact a CUARC club member.
