Virginia Woolf and the Arts
The Sixth Annual Virginia Woolf Conference
June 13-16, 1996
Conference Program
Hosted by Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina
at the Robert Howell Brooks Center for the Performing Arts
About the Conference:
Virginia Woolf and the Arts extends the traditional "big tent" of the first five Virginia Woolf Conferences with presentations that examine Woolf's work from different viewpoints within the liberal and fine arts. Presentations range from the interdisciplinary to numerous methods available to the study of literature and the arts, including performance and assessment of Woolf's work on different audiences. The conference site is, therefore aptly, the Robert Howell Brooks Center for the Performing Arts, Clemson University, in Clemson, South Carolina.
Acknowledgments:
The Sixth Annual Virginia Woolf Conference is partly sustained on grants from Clemson University's College of Architecture, Arts, and Humanities (AAH) and the University Innovation Fund; on a private donation from Yoko Sugiyama; on gifts of services from the Virginia Woolf Society and Virginia Woolf Miscellany; and on Clemson staff support from the English Department, AAH Office of the Dean, and offices of the Clemson University Foundation, Sponsored Programs, Conference and Guest Services, and International Programs and Services.
