TEXTOS
EDITORIAL

TEXTOS is a refereed literary journal in which you can publish as well as read articles that are intellectually stimulating. It publishes articles that relate to the study of Hispanic literatures, cultures, and trends in international business affecting the Hispanic world. Within this preferred range of interests, the coverage is as vast and as far-reaching as the field of the humanities itself.

Ours is a profession of civil engineers within the humanities, since our primary calling is to build bridges to other cultures. It is that focus that TEXTOS seeks to highlight, so that the “foreign” element that is often associated with the languages we teach becomes more familiar, and therefore, less threatening. TEXTOS is designed to reflect analytical rigor and critical thought, as well as to stimulate literary imagination and creativity. While it is selective in terms of the quality of articles it publishes, it does not purport to select away the diversity of perspectives and the differences that mark our discipline.

We welcome your input, and we hope that you will find in its pages many hours of reading pleasure.
