Abernathy Waterfront Park-Within walking distance of downtown Clemson, this waterfront park has a boardwalk along Lake Hartwell, cast-iron swings, fishing, and boat docks. South Carolina Botannical Gardens-Less than a mile from the Martin Inn and Madren Center, the South Carolina Botannical Gardens offer beautiful gardens, picnic areas, walking/running paths, and even a gift shop. Table Rock State Park-About 40 minutes outside of Clemson, Table Rock State Park offers trails, boat ramps, camping, boat and canoe rentals, fishing, and picnic areas. Walker Golf Course-Located right next to the Martin Inn and Madren Center, the Walker Golf Course boasts a full 18-hole golf course, driving range, putting green, and pro-shop. Restaurants and TavernsFine Dining Calhoun Corners-103 Clemson Street. This fine dining restaurant has a wide array of dishes from prime rib to lobster tail. Entrée price range: $15-$25 Pixie and Bill's-Highway 123. A Clemson staple, this fine dining restuarant specializes in steak and seafood. Entrée price range: $10-$25 Local Hotspots Ancheaux's-378 College Ave. Ancheaux's has a wide range of dishes from vegetarian hummus and gumbo to blackened chicken sandwiches and Southwestern burritos. Entrée price range: $4-$8. The Esso Club-129 Old Greenville Highway, #1. Once a filling station, The Esso is now recognized as one of the nation's best sports bars. Patrons can enjoy a game of pool or eating outside on the deck. Menu items include wings, salads, wraps, and burgers. Entrée price Range: $4-$8 Nick's Tavern and Deli-107-2 Sloan Street. The oldest bar in Clemson, Nick's offers a quiet refuge for Clemson faculty and graduate students. Menu items include artichoke dip, pita wraps, and reubens. Entrée price range: $4-$7 Pot Belly Deli-109 Wall St. This deli boasts a wide range of creative hot and cold sandwiches. Pot Belly Deli also serves breakfast starting at 8:00 a.m. Entrée price range: $3-$6 Sardie’s-520 Old Greenville Highway #2. Known for its crab legs, Sardi’s also serves ribs, burgers, and blackened dishes. Entrée price range: $8-$12 Sole-518 College Avenue. With indoor and outdoor dining, Sole is a nice retreat from the usual including menu items such as quail and flatbreads. Sole also has an extensive wine menu. Entrée price range: $ TD's of Clemson-339 College Avenue. Directly across from campus, TD's offers a wide range of sandwiches, burgers, wraps, and salads. Entrée price range: $4-$7 Tiger Town Tavern-368 College Avenue. In addition to pool, air hockey, and Golden Tee, Tiger Town Tavern offers a wide range of appetizers, sandwiches, and burgers.
